The Museum of Music, housed within the Cité de la Musique, in the heart of the Parc de la Villette. Over an area of more than 2,000 m2, visitors can see 1,000 instruments and art objects including such rare and extraordinary pieces as a tortoise guitar, an octobass and a crystal flute. Some of the items on display formerly belonged to musical celebrities such as Django Reinhardt, Frédéric Chopin and Frank Zappa.

The Museum of Music takes visitors on a chronological journey through Western musical forms from the 17th century to the present day, and on a geographical journey through different aspects of non- European music.

Visits to the museum have their own musical dimension an audio guide includes many recordings of instruments in the collections and there are daily free concerts.

For anyone interested in music, as well as for tourists discovering something new, no stay in Paris can be complete without a visit to the Musée de la Musique. With a Paris Pass you can visit this wonderful museum for Free!

The only way to see Paris The Paris Pass allows you to hop on hop off an open top (fact-filled) tour bus, offers entry into many of the beautiful museums, galleries and attractions Paris has to offer and allows you to travel on the Metro. All in one little pack. It was useful to have everything in one pack, with a useful little pocket book filled with maps and information on Paris and the attractions - this was something that rarely left our hands! For the things that we did we using this pass definitely got value for money. We would highly recommend!!

It was a great decision to buy the Paris Pass and I recommend it to others. The Paris Pass was very useful to our enjoyment of Paris. We used it daily and went to some places that we probably wouldn't have chosen or known about if we had not had it. Paying for all of this in advance freed us from having to constantly purchase tickets, exchange money and carry a lot of cash. We felt it was a good value and so easy to use. My advice, purchase a Paris Pass to enhance your visit.
