Located on the ground floor of the Palate of the Gilded Door, the Tropical Aquarium was originally created in 1931 for the Colonial Exposure of 1931 and is one of the few aquariums in Paris. Its purpose was to exhibit the watery fauna from different tropical countries. It was the only building which was set to remain after the World Fair.
Within the Aquarium Tropical de la Porte Dorée, you can find over 5,000 animals from about 350 different species. This tropical experience is made up of 60 aquariums. Within the aquariums, the animals are sorted by their species and geographic origins. With such a variety of primitive and exotic fish, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
With the Paris Pass you can see all the fish and other aquatic animals that the Aquarium Tropical de la Porte Dorée has to offer for Free – a saving of almost 5 Euros!
Paris Pass holders also can entry to over 60 other museums, art galleries, monuments and top attractions in Paris including the Arc de Triomphe and Musée du Louvre.
